Holy Baptism

Holy Baptism

Baptism is the main pathway to membership at Saint Andrew's. In it, we are named and claimed as children of God, who promises to be with us always. We believe this promise is irrevocable. Therefore, baptism received in the name of the Trinity in any church, is accepted — regardless of age, denomination, or the amount of water involved. Baptisms take place four times during the year: at the Easter Vigil, Pentecost, All Saints’ Day, and the Baptism of Jesus.

Children

In the baptism of a child, we celebrate God’s unconditional love, present from the beginning. Parents and godparents commit to raising the child in the way of Jesus Christ, and the whole church community pledges their support.

Adults and Youth

Adult and youth baptism is your opportunity to publicly commit to following Christ and participating in the life of the church.
