Your PLedge Matters

Your pledge enables Saint Andrew’s to minister to the needs of the local and global communities, to celebrate with worship and music, to engage members in education and service, to maintain our property, and to pay our clergy and staff.

Your pledge also empowers our church’s leadership to plan wisely for the short and long term. When people submit a written pledge, our church leadership can predict what funds will be available to maintain a responsible budget and plan for future growth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to make a pledge?

Making a pledge is a direct response to our relationship with God and the blessings we have received. Our weekly offerings given in church are acts of worshipping God with our whole hearts. Pledging is a way we live more intentionally into our relationship with God. We ask each person or family to make a pledge for the coming year. That pledge is an estimate of one’s anticipated offerings and helps the parish with our financial planning.

Can I change my pledge?

Yes, your pledge can be changed at any time for any reason in a confidential way.

Will my pledge make a difference?

Yes! Every pledge counts! If everyone committed to give (regardless of the amount), Saint Andrew’s could increase the level of ministry we offer.

What does it mean to be a good steward?

The word steward is the word for “manager.” When applied to our life with Christ, we are stewards of the gifts that God has given us. Everything comes from God. Our joy is to use them to bring joy, healing, love, and reconciliation to the world.

I have never made a formal pledge. Why should I now?

We appreciate all gifts made to the church, but formal pledges help us financially plan for program ministries and outreach. We are proud of the impact we make as a community of faith. We hope you, too, will join us in the spiritual practice of stewardship.

Can I give stock instead of cash?

Yes, we gratefully accept gifts of stock or other securities. For more information, read our Instructions for Transferring Stocks and Mutual Funds to Saint Andrew's.
